The simple and easy to use feature set makes learning to create amazing fireworks shows approachable and fun. If you’re just beginning your fireworks journey and seeking the most streamlined and cost effective version of Finale 3D possible, then Lite is the version for you.

  • Real-time visual simulation
  • Design shows of any size
  • Create your own effects
  • Use thousands of pre-made effects
  • Export scripts for any firing system
  • Print basic reports & labels

Finale 3D Lite allows you to create shows with the same endless variety of effects that are available in Finale 3D Hobbyist and Pro.

Like the other versions, Lite allows you to use an unlimited number of positions and export scripts for every major firing system in the world with no cue count limitations. Lite also allows you to design shows using 2D backdrop images, create long exposure photos and produce basic reports and labels for show preparation and set up.

The simplified feature set available in Lite lacks a number of the powerful features available in Hobbyist and Pro. The Lite version does not render videos, calculate rack quantities, or provide a way to visually arrange racks in order to create rack diagrams. Lite also does not support the use of DMX fixtures, such as lights, flames and sparks.

System requirements:

Finale 3D Requires Microsoft Windows 10 or 11, 8GB of RAM and a dedicated graphics card.

The Nvidia GeForce GTX 1060 is the recommended graphics card (GPU), though almost any GPU made after 2017 will work. If you use a Mac, you need to install Windows using Bootcamp or Parallels.

What computers run Finale 3D?

Finale 3D’s rendering engine runs almost entirely on a computer’s video card, also called a graphics card or graphics processing unit (GPU), so if you are considering buying a new computer to run Finale 3D, the most important specification for your new computer is its GPU.

By and large, Finale 3D will run on almost any Windows computer sold in 2018 or later, and will run on many computers as old as 2016 or older if they have good GPUs. In the Mac world, Finale 3D works on any Mac from 2016 or later running Windows over Bootcamp or Parallels.

All versions of Finale 3D have the same system requirements. Regardless of whether you are running the Lite, Hobbyist or Pro version of Finale 3D, the system requirements are exactly the same.
